On July 9th, Engineer Liu from TUV certification agency visited Dongying Hengke Precision Metal Co., Ltd. to conduct a special audit on PED (Pressure Equipment Directive). To ensure the smooth progress of the audit, all departments of the company started preparation work a week in advance: the technical department systematically sorted out core documents such as pressure equipment design drawings and material inspection reports; the production department conducted a comprehensive inspection of workshop process flows and equipment operation records; the quality department focused on improving product testing data and quality traceability systems. All links collaborated to form a complete set of audit data files.
On the day of the audit, Engineer Liu conducted a detailed inspection on the company's quality management system, compliance of technical documents and production process control in accordance with the requirements of the PED. In the document review stage, he compared pressure equipment design calculations, welding procedure qualification reports and other documents one by one, and affirmed the standardization of the company's document management. Later, Engineer Liu went deep into the laboratory, carefully checked the calibration records and operating status of non-destructive testing equipment and mechanical property testing machines, and went to the production workshop to inspect the manufacturing process of pressure pipe components on the spot, putting forward professional suggestions on the parameter control of key processes.
After a day of rigorous audit, this PED audit was successfully completed. In the closing meeting, Engineer Liu pointed out that the company has a solid foundation in the basic management of pressure equipment production, and also indicated the room for improvement in aspects such as the completeness of process records and the details of special process monitoring. After the meeting, the company immediately organized a special meeting with various departments to sort out the problems found in the audit, trace the root causes through the fishbone diagram analysis method, formulate improvement plans one by one including responsible departments and rectification time limits, and set up a supervision team led by the management to track the rectification progress regularly, so as to ensure the effective implementation of various measures and comprehensively improve the compliance management level of the company's pressure equipment.
